Remote Work - What, Where, Why, How & When

We realize some of you are still trying to figure out what the new norm is during these uncertain times, while others are just wanting to keep some normalcy in your life. It’s hard to figure out what is best for all of us, especially when we have no guidelines to follow from the past.

If you own your own company or work for another company, you are trying to figure out how to keep your clients, co-workers, and yourselves happy when you can’t head into the office, have a face-to-face meeting, or even have some alone time to unwind. COVID-19 is changing the way we all do business, and right now it’s all so confusing. For those of you not used to remote work, we wanted to provide opportunities that may assist you and allow some peace of mind.

TELEWORKING

Now is a great time to tap into resources from people like Jeff Zbar (ChiefHomeOfficer.com) or companies like Remote.co. If you’ve never worked from home and have no clue where to begin, Jeff can help. Since 1995, Chief Home Officer has been a leading resource to help teleworkers and entrepreneurs learn how to design, create, and get work done from a home-based workplace. Surf around, download, and share this free Chief Home Officer’s Guide to Telework Home Office Design & Set-Up. You will learn things about choosing the right workspace, creating some zen, and how to get motivated.

“Whether it has been a dream of yours to work from home or if you have suddenly found yourself working from home because of recent events, the key word is ‘work’,” says the team at Remote.co. Here are 7 Tips to get you started on how to work from home successfully.

VIRTUAL MARKETING

As companies make the jump to remote work, they are also trying to keep an emphasis on "work" as much as possible. While we are not experts in teaching you how to take care of yourselves, we are experts in helping you to keep up with these changing times. Innovative Group remains committed to growing your business virtually. Now might be the best time to experiment with virtual marketing or expanding your digital marketing efforts. What we were doing in the last few months may not be appropriate today (take Corona’s commercial with NBA legend and sports commentator Kenny Smith), but it’s essential not to stop marketing altogether. As Heather Wright, Senior Director of Digital Marketing and Influence, states, “Virtual events are an excellent way for a larger and more diverse audience to engage with your brand from anywhere in the world. Such events provide flexibility while maintaining brand consistency in a sometimes unpredictable market landscape.”

STAY POSITIVE

If nothing else, be sure you stay positive. Innovative Group’s President and owner, Barry Kates, is trying to reinforce this mindset every day - staying positive not only for ourselves but also for IG’s partners. As he states, “A negative mindset will never lead to a positive result. We are all in this together, and together we can find a way to remain steadfast to get to our destination and continue to live up to our core values.”

We are all in this together, and we are here to help. Let us know how by reaching out to one of our Solutionists.
